Provide 100+ Trees to residents in two Vermont Communities

To celebrate the NASF #CentennialChallenge, the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation  provided 100+ trees to residents in two Vermont communities through the Arbor Day’s Foundation Community Canopy program.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the National Association of State Foresters, the Vermont Urban & Community Forestry partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation, Brattleboro Tree Advisory Board, and the Bradford Conservation Commission to give away 100+ trees to residents of Brattleboro and Bradford.

The selected communities  hosted a free-tree pickup day where VDFPR staff provided instructions on proper tree planting and care.

Energy Saving Trees is a unique program that distributes trees to homeowners for planting strategically around your home. Learn more here: vtcommunityforestry.org/est

A BIG THANK YOU to our volunteers who helped make this a successful, safe, and socially distant event!
