Planting 100,000 Ponderosa Pine Seedlings in the “Pine Forest”
Nebraska Forest Service celebrated the NASF #CentennialChallenge by planting 100,000 ponderosa pine seedlings in the “pine forest.”
Ponderosa pine is native tree species across much of the western United States, including western Nebraska. It is a fairly fast-growing tree and has been a popular choice across the state for windbreaks and general landscape use.
